Raised with a deep connection to her Mexican heritage, Ahida grew up surrounded by women who dressed with effortless elegance — among them her grandmother, whose wardrobe of beautifully crafted garments left a lasting impression.

Those early memories would later become the foundation of the brand.

At the center of the collection is the huipil — the authentic name in Mexico for the traditional handmade garment originating from Oaxaca. Reimagined through a refined, modern lens, each Ahida Correale piece is created entirely by hand by the artisanal women of San Juan Colorado in the Costa Chica region of Oaxaca. No two are ever alike. Every huipil carries subtle variations, revealing the hand of its maker and the individuality woven into each piece.

The process is intentionally slow. Using techniques passed down through generations, a single huipil can take nearly a month to complete. Every thread, embroidery detail, and woven panel reflects centuries of craftsmanship preserved through tradition and community.
